The Skilled-Independent visa (subclass 189) is a permanent residence visa for skilled workers who want to work and live in Australia.
In order to to apply for this visa you need to submit an expression of interest and then be invited through SkillSelect to apply. If you are invited to apply for this visa, you will have 60 days to submit your visa application. Invitations are based on claims made in your expression of interest, so your application must be consistent with the information you provided in your expression of interest and it must be supported by evidence. You can be in or outside Australia when you apply and when the visa is granted.
Temporary Work Visa
The Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457) allows skilled workers to come to Australia and work for an approved business for up to four years.You must be sponsored by an approved business. A business can sponsor someone for this visa if they cannot find an Australian citizen or permanent resident to do the skilled work. You can be in or outside Australia when you lodge your application.
Permanent Employer Sponsored Programme
Employers in Australia can sponsor skilled workers to remain in Australia on a permanent basis through the Employer Nomination Scheme (Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186))The Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa will allow a skilled worker to remain in Australia on a permanent basis and work in a regional area (Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa (subclass 187)).
Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485)
If you are a recent graduate from an Australian education institution and want work in Australia, you may be eligible for the Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485).
This visa allows you to work in Australia for 2-3 years depending on your degree you studied
